I found these today and the first item is a button or fastener of some kind. It says on the front, STAR UNION across the top and UNION MADE along bottom with a stars and striped shield in the center. The back is toasted (showed pic anyway). It appears to be a rivet or snap for clothing but I was wondering if anyone knew any info about it.

The second item is some kind of thin metal. The metal almost has a brass or copper appearance because it is tarnished green but im not sure. The hole in the center is not perfectly round. It has a "notch" in the opening. It was found in the same area with a lot of household items, like door hinges, old makeup compacts, pieces of dishes, an old spoon, etc. does anyone have any idea as to what it could be? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, tried to rotate pics and they loaded twice. I'm still a little SmartPhone illiterate.
