Odd that it has stayed sealed well enough to keep the dial clean, yet it appears to have gone askew, with the numbers not in quite the right orientation. Maybe a gentle soapy water cleaning, since it appears to be watertight?

-edited to correct my computers ridiculous word replacement habits

This was a civil war camp. Most if what I find here is cw. Couldn't be that old?

It looks like it has two loops for a band. In my understanding, they didn't start putting bands on watches until (much) later than the CW. But I could be wrong. Yak

I agree with a toy, it appears that the hands are actually painted onto the face...is this right?
