Hey all, going to beach this weekend and gonna do a little MDing, hoping I can pick up what others missed :-D

Have 8" Mono, 10X14" and 3X7"; which would you guys recommend for IN the water? I suspect 10X14" but would like advice from experienced user. Have only had it about a week and haven't really used it very much, but i'm getting a hang of the sounds, it takes ALOT of patience and good ears but you can definitely tell all sorts of metals apart from other targets. Loving this thing!
Going to gulf coast beaches here in florida, have to decide which beach though haha.

Go with the 8 inch mono. It is lighter and pinpoints in the center. I have pulled rings out at 12-14" with it.

John would you know if the 3X7 is ok for water hunting? I know it says in the Garrett catalog not recommend for diving but is it ok to take it waist deep? I have an 8" on my SeaHunter and really didn't want to have the Infinium set up exactly the same but if that is what is needed then that's what I will have to do.

I wanted to buy a 3X7 to take with me on a trip out West this summer.....at least that's what the plans are right now....

Thanks for sharing info with us..... :icon_thumleft:
