This would be the ticket for finding buried treasure chests that have alot of metal on them to give off the heat signature. Or if you're a gold prospector like me, to find lode deposits. The trick is to go out the time of the year when the days are hot and then in the afternoon cools off rapidly like the fall or may spring to show the contrast in temperatures.
