Got out Thursday for some hunting(8/14). G4E AND I met up after my shift at work to do some digging. We started out at a spot that I've been to and pulled some Indians and silvers out of. We were there for quite awhile and came away with a number of wheats between the 2 of us ans well as 2 Indians a piece for each of us and I had a 62 Rosie. Then we moved on to another spot where wheats were coming out of the ground left and right. I think there were something like 30 or so wheats dug that day. While at the 2nd spot G4e got the first silver dime and it wasn't long after that I had one myself. G4E found a very cool brass post office button then his second silver dime for the day...a Barber dime. We drew the hunt to an end after G4E grabbed 2 V Nickels and I got a Palmolive token...My 2nd one for the year.

It was a great day to get out and we had a good hunt. Between the 2 of us we recovered around 30 wheats or so, 4 Indians, 4 silver dimes, 2 V Nickels, P.O.D. button, Palmolice token.

Thanks for looking and HH!

Thanks for the comments. It was a pretty good day for sure!

Nice digs and thanks for those pics

Always wanted to find one of those Palmolive tokens. Cool!

Nice token. Have you tried to date it?

I'm guessing between 1926-1928 due to the fact that the company was known as Palmolive Peet in 1926 but merged with Colgate to become Palmolice Colgate and dropped the Peet from the name. This token says Palmolive Peet.

Here's the link to the history of Palmolive and Colgate.

Cool hunt and finds, I love tokens like that.
