Cloudy cool day with a breeze from the NE. I went back to the city park of my last several 6 or so hunts and tried a couple new areas. Square nails still (and always will here) outnumbered good finds, but after several of those I did get an Indian IMG_6944.JPG.

Next keeper is a period bottle neck, likely from 1830 - 1885, an applied top to a bottle neck IMG_6955.JPG.

With no further promising signals I moved to another area and got a distinct 12 on the Equinox. First metal out of that hole was a rusted bottle cap at about 2 inches, down deeper from 4 inches came this Buffalo nickel IMG_6951.JPG.

Last "old" coin target of the day came about 40 feet from the Buff and is an 1882 Indian IMG_6946.JPG.

Got home in plenty of time to get loads of yard work done.

Thanks gold boy! It was a stingy hunt. This part of the park has been pounded for years and rightly so; it sits right in front of the old mansion.

Morning ddf! Congrats on those 1865 Indians you dug. When I got this one out of the ground I saw the reverse first and noted the wear and figured it could be old. Sure enough!

Way ta go. Nice finds.

Thanks Rook! One the drive home I noticed that at an older site closer to home the fields have finally been mowed. I'll probably hit that spot next hoping for some flat buttons and maybe an old coin.

Well done again glad too see your finds, Youve been doing very well I have also gone to pounded parks I slow my swing speed by half and its amazing the stuff people miss lol Keep it up my Friend

Nice old coin shooting! :icon_thumleft:

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft: Nice IHP's. I tried swinging a couple days ago but I froze my butt off. I was even wearing thermal underwear!

consider "cherry pickers" to be groundskeepers--- they clear away the clad & crap so you can swing the loot

Thanks Whyme! Most we've had down here is frost, nothing yet for me to throw in the long underwear. Usually its my hand that give me the problems in the cold.

Thanks Professor! Working in a nail-infested area like this it seems my limit should be 3 hours at most; ear fatigue settles in afterwards.

Thanks Tommy! That's a good reminder for me to hear. I'll try slowing it down.

Congrats on the IHs and Buff, sounds like a nice park, I wish my IHs came out of the ground looking like that. :icon_thumleft:

Thanks TommNJ! Yes, this park in Baltimore City does produce the best IHCs. I have dug them in others but only one other rivals the quality of these. There's one park in town that produces the best Buffs. Happy hunting!

Thanks Hawks88! Good to hear from you and thanks for checking out the post. You do way better than me on that score!
