Not too many fields turned right now.
It was nicely overcast and drizzling with temperatures in the upper 50s, with a light breeze. I had some spare time so I hit a field.

Here is a hafted scraper, made from a very well used point.

A large broken base.

The hafted scraper is one of the smallest I have found in a while.
the base is at the top. The only way I can tell the bit edge is it has a slight bevel found on most hafted scrapers.
Here I am attempting to show it.

I have one similar and always wondered what it was and now I know. Just don’t find many of the type here.

Like the close up on the scraper, always nice to see that extra work and know it’s more than debitage
