We are frozen in tight. I spend the winters preparing and dreaming for spring detecting. I was bored and decided to look through some old newspaper articles for buried treasure stories. The one in the pic below is from Indiana in 1904. Has anyone heard of this cache? There are a lot of clues in the story that should get a guy close to it's location. Just remember old Stu if you find it.

i'm sure it's been recovered or discovered by now.

if I found it, my lips would be sealed:)

Too many clues, not *that* long ago

Haven't heard of this one, but I've of the caches buried along 42 down there.

Does anyone have more info? Sure would hate to go looking for this if its already been found.

What is the story on the ones along 42?

Curtis, the Cherokee cache wasn't included which makes it even more likely.
Check out the northerly "Trail of Tears".

Lastleg,

As usual you are making a lot of sense I couldn't;t figure out how a Cherokee would be inthat area, it was the wrong place for one to be but the trail of tears makes it believable. I might check it out this May. Do you have any info on the campgrounds/traces for the area?

Curtis, I didn't save it but there was a link on TN in the last year about the
alternate route. I'll see if I can dig it up.
