id get those looked at by someone who knows indian artifacts. you might have something pricey there. masks where used in ceremonies as were the statues but by the same token theres plenty of decorative stuff made in current day still by hand. someone who knows their stuff can tell the difference in workmanship and thus date them.

my first thought was a reproduction type ornament. or an artist type thing. which they most likly are. a friend asked me to post the picture to see if anyone knew of these type things thanks matt

Nope definately not indian, I would agree on the origin of Africa. The shield with the face looks as thou it may be a ceremonial shield as the war shields are generally much larger.

I'm no expert, but I would say African folkart reproductions.

When I was a kid in Texas in the early 70's, my mom bought a couple of masks like that at a flea market in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. She "antiqued" them in avocado green and gold to match the shag carpet (yikes!). They hung on the livingroom wall for years.

Just my 2 cents...
