not a chance it is a trade item or anything other than modern
 

Definitely quite modern. "Turquoise" is definitely glued in if not chips which it certainly looks like. With no bezel and a cast piece it is the only way to put a stone in the piece. Tourist grade modern "Indian" jewelry.
