Too cold to be out in the fields today, so I was cleaning out my backpack and happened to spot a Indian hiding in there. 21 degrees and 22 mph winds out there right now. I'll pass for now, without looking I'll bet it'll be back in the 50's soon, lol
Enjoy the pix

Update, I forgot the stuff from the day before, there was a mini ball found in those dirt clods

Funny, I thought I dug a lead Indian yesterday, but when I cleaned it up it was a just a blob of ordinary old lead. You probably had the opposite experience. Congrats on a cool relic.

I'm cold just looking at the pictures! Nice finds!

Yep, I agree. Somethings are simply more important than being a lead new story. "Man frozen to detector found behind the school."

Good time for maintenance. Detail the equipment. Might save you from an aborted hunt later on.

Stay warm friend!

I'm not a hundred percent which field it came out of. The snow get thing just muddy enough I have to find out later what they are, thanks

That day it was 36 with not so high winds. Thanks

You too Stumbles

Nice finds! :icon_thumleft:
Thanks Doc

Where's that Treble Gilt Button?
I think that one is, I'd have to go look at all my buttons (if I get real bored) I'm sure there is one or two in the few I have found lately.

Can tell by the age of the stuff in the pic, you have a nice old spot. Any on the age of the Indian?

Nice variety of finds. Congrats
Thank you

That farm in the pic was cleared in the 1600's, the Indian I have no idea the age. It is made of bronze or copper, I'm still cleaning it. My guess is I'll never find out how old he is?

To cold for me also, -9f this morning. Nice range of finds, congrats on all
Thank you

I found him on pinterest

very cool, sometimes you need a day like that to get you to check some things out closer. I usually have 5 gallon buckets that I throw my "trash" into but then one day, I pour it all out on a piece of plywood on my tailgate and carefully go through it. I do find surprises here and there. yeah I call that the worth factor, it just ain't worth it that badly to me these days. hopefully you will be out there soon enough and finding more of your great finds. I do like the Indian, no telling how hours it was played with
