They could be mano stones (the hand held grinding stone that goes with a stone metate), but it depends where you got them. In some areas you could pick up natural stones like that by the truckload in any stream, in other areas (parts of the SW, South Florida, etc.) natural stones like that aren't found unless they were carried there by man.
