weather Improved enough to get out today
although it was a Bit cool when the clouds Covered
the Sun & the wind Blew.

I Had to get out & Dig the Signal I Left yesterday.

Thought silver but after a Wrist Breaking
twisting & Digging Between Roots,
at 7" , turned out to be a very green Button

Dave

Not sure with the Button, But I'm guessing WW1 to WW2 era

thanks all :icon_thumright:

Nice finds Jeff, I am very new to detecting, I got an etrac in september. A couple days ago, I found my first button, and it looks like it is exactly like the one you found. I havent been able to do any research on it yet so I am curious as to what you find out on yours if anything before I find out about mine. Is yours about as big as a quarter? That is how big mine is...

Happy hunting.

Chris.

Yes Chris If a Quarter didn't have the Rim,
size would be Exact.
It is Slightly smaller then a quarter
& hollow 3 Piece. Front, back, & Loop.

Thanks Chris ! & Crusader :icon_thumright:

Thanks Jim !

Realy Didn't think I'd get out when I saw the change in the weather Report.

I'm glad I looked out the widow :laughing7:

Now we go into the deep Freeze

But next saturday may be another warmup.

Ground took the Signal like a Hot Knife into Margarine.

Was digging foot + deep trash everywhere.

cool lead indian!

Jeff, great pics, that Lead Indian is terrific. I'd have to say with that Great Seal Button being as deep as it was and under thick roots that it's probably one of the earlier varieties. Nice Job and Happy New Year :icon_thumleft:

Like Mia says "Cool Finds". Love the Indian!!

Yes I Had to use My Magic Digger

to
get in Between the Roots
& it was in to the Handle till I
Popped it.
I wish I could read the Back,
But am afraid of Damaging it or the Patina
Cleaning it.

I "Think" I see ORK which would probably be part of New York

Again thanks all !

that was a deep indian .. looks like he is holding a hachet. good finds!! MR TUFF

Pretty deep! Of course it's lead.

What's the soil type there?
