The boy and I had a pretty good couple hours hitting a new permission yesterday.
It was an early 1900's yard that back in the time use to have a bar/post office on the one side of the house. Problem was when they tore the old buildings down they filled the area with fill dirt and junk.
A quick hunt in the back yard only kicked out a few match boxes and an old toy gun and trash. No front yard, so we hit the other side of the yard.
Here we both found 8 wheats each, the boys wheats were 18,28,29,40,two 45's,58 and a unknown. Mine were 17,20,30,two 42's,two 44's and a 54.
Then the boy found three IH's, 1887, 1901 and a 1902 and I found two, a 1901 and a 1904.
Two tokens were found, the boy an old alumium token and myself a brass beer token. The boy also found an old aluminum pendant pretty coroaded and and a old clay marble found in one of his holes.
And then the only silver found was a 1934 Washington found by the kid.
We were finding wheats and IH's up until we had to leave and we didn't hit the back as good as we could have so we feel there's still more here. We'll definitely make another trip back to this yard.
