What a morning having to go through Indian artifacts I found, or what folks had sent me over the years. These were sealed & labeled from what part of the USA & the names of the folks who sent them to me. Most of the bags still had flood water in them, artifacts are fine, writing on each bag still readable. Just wish Hobby Lobby was open where I can get more bags...will have to settle with "snack bags" for now. Many were sent to me by Steve...he even made me a flipping stick, I can not find it period...this saddens me cause I thought of him each time I used it.

Stick might turn up yet. Could have headed out without you and is marking something of interest.

So sorry to hear of your predicament. Sincerely hope you find the stick that Steve sent you.

River Rat I'm sorry about what you are going through, during the flood and after it I was working all of that area get fuel to pumping stations, hospitals and other places. It is so unreal till a person see's it with their own eyes. There are still some spots where they have not got to cleaning up all the stuff out of folks homes. Such a bad thing and no one saw it coming to the point that it did. Thank God for the Cajun navy are more lives would have been lost. Hope things work out for you because I am hearing of all kinds of story's about folks having to jack up their homes by 4ft or build some where else and if they don't they will pay very high flood insurance cost. Prayers for you and yours !!!!!!!

You are lucky to be alive. I am glad you are going through and salvaging the things you can. I know it has been devastating . We were worried about you!!!!
