When posting pictures always post all sides...

Yes it looks like uniface but with out more pictures can't tell for sure...

Nice oval scraper

by definition uniface is having design on one side
When members are asking opinions we need multiple pictures showing all sides, even the non worked sides..

I have to agree with Treasure Hunter, but it does resemble a uni-faced scraper.

Sorry guys I have been at work an didn't realize so many ?s ill post a pic of the other side asap!!

Both sides have been worked but in the first pic I posted that side is convex an the side yall asked to see is convex on half an on the other has a indention chipped into it.. Maybe where the thumb goes.. I use to have a book on Indian artifacts that gave tribes an dates of each and I can't find it.. Can anyone help on that??

It's a scraper and probably used in hide work. It's very similar to what we find in the Plains Village farmer areas from about a 1,000 years ago, but willy99 if you're in Wapanucka OK, that area was occupied by the Calf Creek people back to about 6,000 years ago. (I think that's middle Archaic?) They made the most interesting points, and they liked to camp in a high place with a good view all around. Another thing about your find, a scraper was a household tool and usually is found on the site of an old village. So get back out there as there's probably more artifacts in that area.

Is this one considered uni or bi??

In my mind's definition, Biface would be when both sides are sort of mirror images of each other. This one is unifaced (and someone jump in if I'm wrong), even though they may have done a little work on the back.
It looks like it was made with high quality quartz that chipped a lot like chert. Cool piece. I have one made out of crystal quartz, but I don't think it was as high quality as yours.

Uniface only one side flaked, bifaced both sides are flaked..
