Indecision turned into a good thing

started my day out with plans to detect after work with coworkers....both had things come up so I decided to deer hunt instead. Got home and deer hunting just didn't feel right, so I grabbed the detector and went up the road to the Old General Store, my recent hot spot. Today instead of going to the store, I went to the old Church beside it. Ended up finding a dime and 4 pennies in clad. Also got seven Wheats, 1945, 40, 41, 29, 41, 34, and 39. Dug an 1889 Indian Head as well. Light was getting dim and my last dig was another Indian Head, 1887! Didn't even know what it was until I got home in some light, because it was pitch black out! Thought at first it was a '67, but no dice....i'll take it though

how deep were these coins?

just wondering cause I am going to start hunting stuff like this...lol..newbie--- so any info. is great for me now.

FarmerChick, the odd thing is that these Indians, along with all the others I have found there are only about 1 inch deep! Seems all the coins at this place are close to the surface. The Indians I have found elsewhere have been between 1-4 inches deep. Any time I can help, just let me know. My uncle, Jeff of PA is pretty much a master as well Ask and ye shall receive info!

Bambi was more confused that I went detecting! I got home and she along with her triplets were eating in the yard, when she saw me get out of the truck she turned and looked behind her and up at my tree stand to make sure I wasn't in it! Her and I have been meeting regularly there and I think I threw her off tonight, but she calmed down and went right back to eating!
