I found this with a variety of items posted before cleaning, on the recent finds link.

The base metal is lead with maybe a light copper and silver coating.

It was found around an old area of concrete block that had been overgrown by a tree root in Pullen park in Raleigh, NC.

Picture is kinda small, can you blow it up? A piece of jewelry, maybe a pin or a pendant.Looks more Native American to me,like a ceremonial costume that would have been worn by an Indian for a raindance or something.Almost like a Thunderbird or maybe even Aztec design. How big is it? What does the back look like? You sure it's lead and not "pot metal" or even pewter.Cool find whatever it is.I'll check back later for the general concensus. :)

Neat find. Is it pendant size? I know where Pullen Park is. Great location.
Congrats.

Formerly posted with other finds.

Pic of back is cover with oxidized steel, sorry i haven`t cleaned it as well as the front.
The chain that was found with it was wrapped around it several times.

I will repost the original front side again but i was trying to save the servers disk space.
