Well over the last two days I had a chance to use some vacation time and what do you think I was doing? :tongue3: I was hunting around at a couple of older farms in hopes of digging a few keepers. I was not dissapointed.

Started the first day by hunting a small place but at least it was older. Found a few wheats but nothing really great. I think the oldest was a 1919. Finished up there and went around the block to another farm. This place is a bit bigger and we only had about two hours to root around. Speaking of roots! :tongue3: I had to dig around a few to grab up a few more wheats. The oldest being a 1917 d. Then Don got a great token/ medalet from 1881. It is a James Garfield Inaugural Token. Commemorating him as the "Canal Boy" in 1845 and President in 1881. To make a long story short and ironic, last year I found a token of Winfield Scott Hancock...the guy ran against Garfield in 1880. Now I have two tokens from the same Presidential run...Strange but way cool I thought :headbang:

Went on to snag a 1940 Washington quarter and a 43 Merc...Then decided to go over the front yard again but really really slow. Like a snails pace. Dug a whisper 40vdi and it turned out to be a very small 10K gold ring..My First :o Then the very next hole with the same type sound and vdi...out pops another one. A 10k gold ring that might have fit a 10 year olds pinky finger. :o Wow two gold rings, two silvers and a token in the same front yard. Time ran out here and we left to search another place the next day...

Well we had just an hour to check out this new farm location. Not to be skunked, this was just a quick check to see if we could snipe a keeper. Got an early wheat right off the bat. Don snagged a 1942 P War Nickle and then I got a deep signal that was around 50vdi and 7 to 8 inches...Dug down and to my surprise I see silver in the bottom of the hole. A pristine 1913 No Mint Mark Barber Dime with full Liberty. This is the best Barber I have found. What a great couple of days of vacation....I am going back tomorrow to look for some more gold and silver....Goodluck out there everyone and be safe....Pics are not the greatest but the excitement made me shake a bit with the camera ;D Thanks for looking.....jgas

I like the Inaugural token the best, good find, I have a few, including one right after yours, Grover Cleveland 1885.

I have two WH Harrsion tokens also, besides Grover and all are holed, I am sure they are made that way, being tokens. Used to be a great personal website on them, but now gone. The guy had a great display of them to use for IDing.... :'(
