Or it could be heaven for them. One of the boys is here visitin so we went down to Breckenridge to walk around like tourists. Didn't fool nobody as we went into a couple of clothing stores to look around and the clerks pegged us as locals and totally ignored us. Not nearly as crowded today as I thought it would be. The wife finally talked me into riding that gondola which goes waaay up the mountain to where people ski. First time I've ever been on one of those, and felt like I was in a James Bond movie for some reason. They don't charge to ride it, which is one of the very few free things up here.

So cooool!
Very nice pics!! I wanna ride one of those... that would be neat!
Beautiful horses!
I wonder if they still do carriage rides in down town San Antonio.
They were nice.
When I was 16, a boyfriend took me to ride on a carriage in SA along with big, beautiful long stem roses...
AHHHH.... those were the days!
LOL

Very nice pictures thanks for sharing. Nothing is free in this world.

I spent one winter working for the Heavenly Valley Ski Resort at Lake Tahoe. Rode the tram up and down the hill every day, all day, hauling skiers. The view was the entire lake, and a cluster of casinos on the lake shore. Nobody that rode on the tram admitted to loosing a dime in a casino, they all won. On Wednesdays in the winter they would have a free bus from San Fransisco to Tahoe, and they got free meals, and I don't recall, perhaps a free room, anyhow it sounded like a good deal, but the locals called them the "sucker bus." Good pictures, that sleepy eyed team sure has a lot of hair, looks like they are warm and happy.

RGINN, you don't know tourist hell till you visit Orlando in the summertime...

On another note I just finished watching Centennial miniseries again....

New York City has outlawed or wants to outlaw the carriage rides in Central Park. Apparently it's animal abuse so it looks like those in Colorado don't care about animals. I wonder if the NYPD is going to get rid of their horses?? I think the horse stables are on some prime property so that MIGHT have something to do with it. :)
We aren't getting much rain here rg so how is your snow pack?

Snowpack is a little above average pb but we haven't had any new snow for a while. More in the forecast for the weekend maybe. Still cold; up to low 30's in the day, low teens and single digits at night but nothin remarkable for this time of year here. Still a lot of winter left, and we can get some of our biggest snows in March and April.

Sure ain't the rock'n and rolling, ho-down Breckenridge I remember from 1977 anymore. Man! did I attend some get down, party down moments in that town back then. There's song that reminds me of those times by Toby Keith We got winners, we got losers... Chain smokers and boozers...And we got yuppies, we got bikers...We got thirsty hitchhikers...And the girls next door dress up like movie stars...Hmm, hmm, hmm I love this bar...
