I had a couple hours early evening (7/9), so I went back to the sweet sand and was rewarded with this 1927 merc 20 minutes into my hunt :icon_sunny: (you all aren't kidding that the first was the hardest!)

I kept getting excited every quarter signal I got (hoping for a SLQ) but alas clad after clad.

Then on my way out I got one more quarter signal ... Would it be a standing liberty?

No, it was a standing libertine

Anyway, I can report the little lagoon is fenced off and inaccessible, but the rest of the restoration area is fine.

Wow! I can believe the place is still giving up the goodies, but to a newbie! Great going! I now pronounce you Expert Novice!

Jon, You da man!!!
You are getting it down and I expect some nice results from your upcoming road trips.
That is a sweet looking Merc.

Sweet sand

Sweet coin.....

your doing great there! i went early today and found mostly clad!

NICE!!

There still appears to be "mint luster" on that coin
(Is that a double-die mint error or just "camera shake")

So, what kind of silver do you want to dig tomorrow? ::)

More silver? I just might have to pay one last visit to silver beach. Great job :icon_thumleft:
