T-model - I'll find some in-situ photo's, but I'm terrible at posting pictures. I'll take a crack at it though. Many of my in-situ's were before I had a digital camera so it's a pain in my butt to post.

Field Jaguar - That looks like a nice point, or a fantastic leaf.

most pictures naturally have the object in the center of the photo, but i had to pick this one!

Umm, nope. ;D That does look like one but it's not. Twitch correctly got it, though.

SHIELDJaguar - Let me start by apologizing for refering to you by the wrong name earlier.

tmodel - I've found a handful of in-situ pictures. I don't know how to resize them but I'll throw them on here and see what happens.

Chong2 - All of my southwestern US in-situ's should be in this group.

Thanks for looking.

Joe

The last picture I'll attached here is one of the oddest in-situ's I've ever taken. I'd love to hear people's thought on it and then I'll offer my own opinion.

Thanks for looking.

I should also note that the last one was taken with my camera phone so it's not as high of quality photo as the others.

Great pics Twitch....really enjoyed looking at them. I don't know what to think about the glass beads in that last pic...was that area covered by floodwater and maybe those beads and the point were similar enough to get sorted together?

Resizing pics...some of mine are too big too but here's how ya do it.

Open the pic you want to resize in a program like paint. If using Paint...once the picture is open click "resize", then resize the pic to say 30 percent of the original size (this can vary depending on the megapixels of your camera). Click "File" "save as" and name the picture...if you want to keep the original give the resized version a different name, if you don't care about the original you can use the original name and "overwrite". I keep all of my original pictures in folders organized by year and I keep my resized photos in a folder labeled "resized" so anytime I want to post one somewhere I can come back to it. Hope this helps.

i realy, realy like all photos posted so far. keep it up the harder to kind the better.. i am supposed to be released to drive about [4-7-11], hope the doctor says yes!!!!!! Twitch !!! could those be bits of glass or glass trade beads that got in camp fire,, or fire got hot enough to melt some of that sand forming those ball and flatend looking balls that look like glass... loved photo 012[2] that showed a point that looked broken and worked in to a crazy looking drill,, then photo 012[3] taken after you flipped over a perfect point that you could till from background that it was photo 012[2] that was flipped!!!!

Archer66!!! in your first photo[1040543]was there [2] artifacts in that photo? [1] a large blade in center and [2] what looks like a small point, the top and smallest of [3] white spots on left upper side.. i was using [200%] enlargement before it blurred out..... T.

Shield!!!! your [1st] photo nice little point and [3] pronger!! i did not find the point the first time i saw that photo. [in creek hunt 2-16-11]

Glass beads in the last photo - I found that point at a site that I believe is a woodland (Havana phase) low mound, on top of a sand ridge that had Archaic habitation, ulitmately ending with a turn of the century home on it, that's now been gone for who knows how long. And all of this is being eroded into by a water way. It's a hell of a good site.

Twitch!!!! at least some of the beads are modern. [2] clouded ones under one clear one in upper right corner of photo are threaded on string.. use [200%]or better to make string look like string insted of dead grass or vines,,,, Twitch!!!! how many points are supposed to in bead photo????? T.

I see what you are looking at TModel....and if it is I missed it. The large piece in the center of the photo was my first ever artifact find.

Archer66!!! at least you have a reason photo of first find and it a nice big blade, and probley never even seen a photo of a little white point that could have looked like that one did under all that mud and water, if it was one!! i did not even have an excuse let alone a reason for the one a man on this forum found inches not feet from my foot print,, a nice [2] inch + point, [never saw it i did not wish to after he or any one found one that close and showing as good as he said.. T.

Twitch!!!! that would account for the [2] beads i was sure of because string through hole.. please check lower extream right corner of bead photo and tell me what you see... i am using these photos to try to learn to hunt creek beds,, before my doctor says it is okay to drive..
