I thought maybe some of the TNET sleuths could come up with a date range for this knife. After examining the style of type I think it is a little older than I originally thought. It says on one side 'CAFE 848 N. Salina St Syracuse, N. Y.' and on the other 'Compliments of CASH A. MARKERT'. Thanks in advance.

BCH, I found this in the ground, it is completely rusted together. If I put it in the electolysis tank, I might try opening it. Thanks

This from a 1914 book... "Report of the State Commissioner of Excise"

Cash was Casper... Casper A. Markert

I found another reference at 1917: He owned a lumber manufacturing company in Syracuse at the given address.

So... Date range is 1915ish...
