Hey All,

I found this button in a area that also produced an 1802 Large Cent. I don't know if it's anything special or not. It's about the size of a dime and has either script writing or some scrolling pattern on the back. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dan

Looks like a run of the mill flat button to me. The writing would probably relate to the gilt, fine super fine or rich or extra are some terms i have seen on different buttons. it also most likely has the manufactures name on the back as well. I see RICH on yours but cant make out much else. Probably said rich gold color or something on the back.

I'm still made, just harder to find. I can sometimes be found at Whole Foods and Target stores in the mid west.
