I hear ya, I've been striking out lately too. Need a good find to give me a little pick me up.

Slumps are part of the hobby. However, assuming you are operating your detector properly the real thing is you have to pass the coil over silver.

When I find myself in this situation, I tend to try to get back to the basics. Refer to any old instructions you have written down or videos that you have taken. Also, if you can ask your friend to hunt with you for a day, you will be able to test a target with two machines to make sure yours isn't malfunctioning. I had that happen (loose coil wire) and didn't know it until I retested an area with a different detector.

Hopefully it is a very short slump! Best of luck.

Slumps happen, what I do is look at my past finds to get me excited and then do some research on new spots. When one place I hunt isn't producing I try out a new area to see if I can get lucky. Also, if you are not confident in your abilities with your machine read up on tips etc.

Loothunter is right. Slumps hit all of us and they're a bummer. Are you trying completely different sites? Sometimes we fall into a pattern of hunting the same few places too often.

Also, if you are not slowing down and really hunting a small area very thoroughly, you might be amazed at what you're missing.

Yea you guys are right I think I need to slow down and I think I got over confident from finding nice finds

I'm in a slump too. I also look at old finds. Then go back to the basics I slow down. I hope you get out of your slump soon.

GOD BLESS!!!

Going to hunt a football field on sun so see what happens hopeful get rid my slump

When I feel like I've hit a dry period detecting, I put the AT PRO down and go looking for Projectile Points!

You could always go about it another way!
If the way you've always hunted isn't productive, drastically change your detector settings and hit it again...

You'll master another aspect of your machine, and you'll find whatever has been discriminated on your usual settings... Even if it's junk.

Eventually, it will pay off. Guaranteed.

Unless you always detect the same spot, from the same direction, with the same settings, and don't get much rain. haha!
