Hi all,
My first choice place today was closed due to 'Wildlife Management' -- I don't know what that means, but did not want to get shot. Tried another spot that I told a few people about that may have had a potter's field. I hope it was someone else, since I got no invite, but there were a lot of digs there. I did not stay there because I was getting a real bad vibe about the place, more related to where it was and perhaps some mushroom hunters in a nearby secluded parking lot than anything with it being a potter's field. So, I went to a third spot, which I have tried several times and know from 007 was considered hunted out. Last time I was there Iwas with 007, and it officially went off his list. But, I did not feel like driving somewhere else, so I plopped down there and hunted.
I saw a really impressive beaver dam (which is the main reason actually for the video). Surprisingly I did managed 4 keepers -- 3 wheat and 1 merc (1918).

Kewl bud!!! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Nice loot P2C! Worn merc has some stories to tell.

The beaver reminds me of a Simpsons episode where homer falls into the river...

Carl: Oh no! He’s going over the falls!
Lenny: Oh good. He snagged that tree branch.
Carl: Oh no! The branch broke off!
Lenny: Oh good. He can grab onto them pointy rocks.
Carl: Oh no! Them rocks broke his arms and legs.
Lenny: Oh good. Those helpful beavers are swimming out to save him.
Carl: Oh no! They’re biting him, and stealing his pants.
You’ve never had your pants grabbed off by friendly beavers?

I know the feeling of going to a spot only to see dig holes. Seems like its happening more often too. I just think there is more hunters out in my area, and due to all those YouTube videos of hitting the woods, those that normally only hit parks are now venturing into the woods. Did you at least get something before you left the first spot.

Nothing from that site, but if you are referring to the potter's site, I only stayed 15 minutes. I guess i did get a bunch of stickers there. Down here most the really good sites that are wooded are almost completely cleaned out, even of pull tabs. There was/is a fairly size-able local club that hits, and its members have individually hit, the woods for decades. I know of a couple guys that just go through and dig every single signal. Seems to be too much time on hands.... As a result, I am often driving an hour to get to somewhere to hunt.

Impressive piece of engineering and congrats on the coins also. Looks like your hair is coming back!
