Imperal copper lion head with ring threw nose ??

Hi all found this small pressed copper lion head with a hollow copper ring threw its nose.The relic is 2 inch long and is way to small to be a door knocker Any ideas/

Yep, drawer pull. The flower pot may have had one glazed on to it.

You can still buy modern versions of them.
