I'm under water in my lake, two short hunts, two almost gold's, lol

Got my new toy, 12 volt Hookamax dive rig. I have been rigging a mess of stuff and trying to get used to hunting in total darkness. Most of the time I'm walking back and forth, shallow, deep, shallow, to retrieve what is in my scoop. Here are pix from yesterday (maiden voyage) and to day's hunts.
Three wheaties
The ring is marked 1/20 10 K GF
The cross is marked Italy, its brass

Enjoy the pix

Nice looking ring

I know thats not what ur looking for but. Great start!!!
How about bringing a big flashlight down with you??

Not too bad of a start, getting used to a new way of detecting isn't always easy, I like the ring!

Good show Brad! It won't be long before some more half dollars show up, I am sure of it. Best of luck to you.

I'm going to try my dive light, hard to explain, one hand to hold scoop, one hand to pull out stuff from scoop. Still might work. Just got done re-rigging weight belt and rigging dive flag. One good thing, it opened up thousands more targets, I'm going to be more selective for awhile.
Thanks George, it is amazing how many rings I have found at this site.

Still some nice finds..
Yeah, I like em, thanks. I'm sure I'll come across some old nickels after awhile.

For those ( like me ) that don't know what a Hooka looks like ~

She came to the house, I test drove it!

You'll never drown.
She is very buoyant.

Good start, and here's a cheap way of lighting up the depths.
Hack a $4 LED flashlight into a scuba diving light with a laxative!
I already own two dive lights, going in the morning to get batteries.
Cool video

Thanks for all your help and encouragement.

For sure, mostly just rigging, but I like doing that stuff.

Here is rare footage of me, I don't like putting my photo out there. Also a shot of the Hookamax rigged on my boat. I can leave the outboard running so I have continuous power.

You sure are set up for what you enjoy doing. :notworthy:

What kind of depth are you searching 10ft/20ft/30ft? Interested in the hooka set up myself.

Nice new toys! Enjoy that deep water! WTG!
