I'm thankful I found a large cent

Went back to the soybean field where I was at yesterday. I spent about two and a half hours going over the area Oldjerseygirl found the ring. Nothing there but a wheatie, 1918 I believe. Stopped at a different field on the way out to try one corner, just to see what I could come up with. Looks like a 185? Toast but she is a large cent.
Happy thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you Brad. Your LC looks like 98% of the ones I have found lol.

From what I can see on the pic, I'd hazard a guess at 1857.

Still a nice find no matter what shape.

Happy Thanksgiving!

1857 was a flying eagle.

Hey, 1 in awesome shape and 1 in ok shape. There good odds.
Nice hunt.

1857 was a flying eagle.

There were also 1857 Braided Hair LC's George. It likely is not one of those though. Very few left the mint because of the flying eagle being the new 1 cent coin.

Nice save Treble. I Love to hear an LC under the coil. Toasted or not, at least you scored and old coin.

Any day you find something at all around here is a good day. Good you did not go home empty handed! Hope it is nice tomorrow. I am raring to go. Want to hunt on the other side. shows two houses were there. Probably been hunted before but I don't care about that. Happy Thanksgiving!
