I'm so excited I could spit. ~THPPT~ There, I did.
Last night I was studying some local history, and I think I may have stumbled on something better than I have ever even dreamed about.
In my neck of the woods, nothing is very old--after 30 years of coin hunting, my oldest American coin is 1869--but I just learned of a popular 1850s hangout/ gathering spot. Further research this morning has shown me that this spot is currently on public land, and has never been developed at all. The place I found this info was obscure and I figure there is a good chance no one else will have hunted there or even know about it!
I'm going nuts and making 'the face'.
