I found this about eight months ago in an open field. Any help on what it might be or age I would be grateful.

Are you jiving us? I hope that's a PhotoShop forgery because that's an Aztec death charm that curses all who cast their gaze upon it. You need to make a pilgrimage to Teotihuacan *immediately*, and sacrifice a virgin goat to Quetzacouatl or it's gonna be a bad scene. Baaad, I tell you!

Looks like an old horse show medal, or maybe a cavalry medal 8)

The area I found it in is steeped in Scottish heritage and there are a lot of show horse ranches. It just looks old. Thats what throws me. Maybe I'll try on of those ranches and see what they say. I did like the Aztec curse reply.

havent looked at it close yet... will you please press this on some play dough or non sticking clay type stuff and see what ya get!!!(and then post the pic!!!!) i think you'll be able to see it better...
