Found in EAST TEXAS. Non-magnetic. Really smooth on the green colored part. Over an inch or, so, long and about 1/2 inch thick.

Can not wait to hear what you guys have to say!! Could be a petrified persimmon?! Lol.

It absolutely does NOT scratch by knife. The knife drew on it, like a pencil would draw on paper.

My thought is a piece of conglomerate formed from a long ago ancient mountain range that has been metamorphosize under immense pressure from later geologic forces.

A mafic rock. Possibly metamorphic, hard to tell. I'd guess pyroxene as a first thought.
