Hey everyone,

I'm doing my mom and step-dad a favor by driving one of their cars from St. Paul to Naples, FL in mid-january. I've been waiting to get away during the winter and take a break from work to hunt down south (Tennessee, GA, FL), and this works out perfectly.. I'm interested in civil war and colonial sites.

Are there people out there who who would be willing to host a metal detecting day if I stop in your neck of the woods?

I'll you lunch and a case of beer!

Here's my route:

Bumping this. Make that a case of beer AND a bag of beef jerky.:icon_thumleft:

Ok last try. Tennesseans? Kentuckians?

I'm hitting the road tomorrow night. Going to be in the Murfreesboro area on wed/thurs of this week. Then Atlanta area on thursday. I'm willing to detour a little ways if anyone wants to hunt. Thanks!

Im now in Lookout Mountain, TN. Hopefully I find a place to hunt!

If you're in Lookout Mountain tonight, I'm about 4 hours to the East of you. Route 58 passes right by me. That would put you off your path, but thought I'd best mention it. I do have a place to go :) That would make me get off my butt rather than staying isolated.

Thank you for the offer!!! You're just a little too far off the path. But much appreciated.
