I'm losing the battle...

2008 CLAD:  17

2008 Old Coins:  16

:-\

Got a pocket spill of FIVE memorial cents in the middle of Nowhere yesterday.  >:(  DiggerGirl got a find that I have never, Ever found one of... a CELL PHONE!  In the middle of the woods.  ::)  She also got a nice, old V nickel too--so her oldie count is much more than her clad--after an IH pocket spill...but for the rest of us Iron Brigaders, we're doomed.

Do CW buckle recoveries take -10 off the clad count?  :icon_scratch:

Fields are plowed here--and now we've got some more woods huntin' coming up.

You and me both! But I won't let 'em interfere with making good finds. I'll buy that stuff that'd drop a cat in its tracks... Then I'll coat my pants legs with it. So what if that pesticide rots my skin off--I'll be tick-free. :P

Re: I'm losing the battle...

BB I am gonna have to get the same stuffs too... I just hate those critters... also that stuff we put on our dogs..last year was the first time that stuff didnt work... I was shocked..cause that stuff for our dogs is expensive to begin with.

Re: I'm losing the battle...

nice button Nick....and will also try the 25% deet stuffs too ...thanks for the tip.

Re: I'm losing the battle...

There was something that I have seen--in a yellow spray can...that is specifically for ticks. It doesn't contain DEET, but it kills the ticks for up to two weeks after spraying it on clothing. I'm sure it's nasty stuff to have on ya, but it works Very well.

I can't remember the name of it, but I'm trying to find out so that I can purchase some.

Nick--thanks for the Button! It certainly DOES brighten my day! My stars have fallen out of line this past week, and now I can't find crap after those CW buckles! My buddies are skunking me, but I at least usually get one keeper. We've got some ooooold sites lined up, so hopefully redemption is on the way.

Re: I'm losing the battle...

Please, no wise cracks!

Try womens panty hose. The ticks will not be able get their mouth parts past the nylon.
Also somewhat good for fleas.

Walmart sells Repel Permanone that you spray on your clothing. It's good for two weeks also. I use it all the time. I forgot to spray my clothing a couple weeks ago before i went on a hike. I picked 18 ticks off my pants that day.
