Im in slump!

I'm in slump!

Hunted a colonial/civil war site this morning for about 2 1/2 hrs. this morning. All I found was a couple of modern shot shells, a few pieces of iron and 1 pistol bullet. Left there and drove 40 mins. to the beach to catch the outgoing tide. Damn!all I came up with was 4 zincolns and 1 Jefferson. Not even 1 sinker! Oh well, It was a beautiful day anyways!

The thing about slumps is that, eventually, they end.

Something that has helped me out of slumps over the years is to choose one site and one specific area of the site. Then, COVER that area! I mean like you never have before. Concentrate on every signal and even trash ones to hear if there might be a good signal next to a bad one. It'll be boring but, it's funny how it will sharpen your concentration.

If you bounce from place to place you almost never cover any of them very solidly. Might just as well take your detector out for a jog. Just my way.

Darn good advise! Normally I would have stayed where I was at, but my beach driving permit expires Mar. 15. I'm done with the beach this season, so I can focus on relic hunting until the chiggers and the snakes start appearing
