I'm happy...

but aching too much to do the happy dance. Long story short, our farm helper was digging a trench next to the workshop in order to treat for termites. As he was digging he was seeing broken glass and managed to save one bottle, when I heard about the bottle I had to investigate...taking a long handled screwdriver to use as a probe I starting searching. I never dreamed that I would have to actually dig under the cement slab to find what I found. Back in the late 1800's, well the original owner was born in the house in 1876, so all the buildings are pretty old here. This workshop was originally the carriage house, with the dirt foundation pretty well packed, and the building practically falling down, my FIL tore down the building, had sand hauled in, then had the slab poured, and built the current workshop back in 1965.

Some of these finds are a first for me, I did some searching on the www to learn more about them.

Hey, maybe it's a collector's item. Only 1 website about this company and it was a bottle collection out of NOLA.

Re: I'm happy...

That is certainly a nice collection of bottles. I would start tunneling under the foundation, build a basement and see what else lies under there.
