Hey cool thanks for sharing - let me go ahead and ramble about a few things I can see / would suggest considering.

Aviation stuff: Good market, in my opinion, for this kind of stuff. That Western Airlines model plane in the back might be a good indicator (bought by Delta) of the vintage. The "heydey" aviation stuff was really neat and I believe the market is good for potential sales.

Pic 23/24: I think I've seen a version of #23 in the Kimball Art Museum in Ft. Worth. Might be clones / related to pretty famous art.

Springsteen guitar: Worth something for the autograph but based on the headstock the guitar itself is a cheap one (likely not played by Bruce, etc), so be careful perhaps.

Pink Floyd guitar: Same story as the Boss - autographs have value, axe itself does not.

Edit: Also, if anybody needs 'semi-pro' help with guitars, I'm always up for taking a look and/or doing research. I try to be realistic and polite about instruments - sometimes people think they're worth a lot more than in reality, so there's no room for me to have 'attitude' about quality or monetary worth. Just sayin'!

I think you are going to fnd that most of that stuff will be priced pretty outrageous. Stay away from the autographs unless the accompanying COA is from a VERY reputable company like PSA or GSA or the like. With a collection like that Im sure a estate sale company who is thorough and competent have been hired, but still check all those silver platters and other pieces to see if they are sterling but priced as plated. Thee collection of casino chips is worth checking out as some of the older chips from casinos that no longer exist can be worth big money.

My recommendation on a sale like that is spend all the time you can at any preview they allow and research all you can. Get there EARLY before the sale. Find the obscure stuff and make your good buys with that type of stuff. Good luck!
 

I see many things I already own, lol. Personally, i'd be all over the Hummel Nativity set if it was priced right and free of damages. Christmas season isn't too far away (I can't believe I just said that, lol). I don't really do sports or musical instruments, though I see a few nice pieces in there for sure. You may want to get a small checklist of baseball bats to look for. Even though it says they aren't signed, some of the old ones go for real good money. With Zippos, the older the better usually. If you don't know how to date a zippo then here ya go- Zippo : Date Codes I'm sure the prices on this stuff will be out of reach on most items so the good stuff will be things that they can't or weren't able to research and/or items that nobody would think is worth anything. As nathan mentioned, obscurity is good when it comes to these types of companies/sales. At sales like this I tell them jokingly "I want all your junk where is it?" meanwhile i'm dead serious.

PS- I see a Crossfire Super Sniper coil attached to a Garrett detector of some sort, pictured in photo no.49 (one with the big cog). That would be worth getting if the price is right, which it may be since it is not mentioned or fully photographed. That coil alone is worth $50-$60.
 

Thanks everyone. I've been to sales by this company before and have done well, although they do over price high visibility items. The Boss guitar will be way overpriced.
I'm hoping for a deal on the old poker chips. Thanks for the hell everyone. Good eye on the MD, I missed that scanning the pictures.
 

I'd head straight for the Cher.

But probably the airline stuff and the hummel that says authorized dealer if its reasonable.
 

Some of those casino ashtrays would get a good price, others you'd be lucky to sell for $3. The Zippos have been mentioned, but the vue lighters are collectible as well. With those, age isn't as important as what is in the tank. Older models would be made by Ritepoint, the newer by Scripto.

So much I'd be interested in, but probably not at what everything is going to be priced at. I wouldn't mind that pinball machine. :)
