Yes after the ground thawed i have found 2 rosies and 2 mercs and some wheat..
heres a pic. of the button in question..

Brass holds up fairly well depending on the average moisture of the soil. IE the drier the soil the better shape they are in, bar high acidity etc. Pewter does not hold up as well as brass.
