I'm baaaacccckkkk...
...AND THE E-TRAC IS WACK....Okay, lemme explain. Been a bit under the weather lately. Finally got out to a pounded park today to scrounge for any leftovers. Was about to leave after 3 hrs. or so, because I only had 2 wheats, nothing else. Finally decided to try under a recently planted small evergreen tree. Got a 13-47 @ 1 inch. "Cool" I think to myself "another clad quarter". Well imagine my surprise when, upon popping a shallow plug, out pops not a clad quarter, BUT A 1919D MERC!!! . And only 1/2 inch down!! Glad I decided to check the disturbed ground...
Today's digs: 1919d merc (silver coin no. 8 for 2012), 2 wheats ('35, '40s), $6.21 in clad (not pictured), toy plane, old timey ornate face plate/logo/design thingy that fell or was pried off of somethin'.
Pics below. Enjoy!! Sat. will be nickel huntin' day @ this spot (that's about all that's left there). Anyone care to guess how many pull tabs and beaver tails I'll dig??
