So I’ve been away for a few weeks in Indiana and Ohio, and watching three grandkids. I had high hopes for the spots that I was going to detect in Indiana. Two 1800’s farm properties and a small 1800’s church. Not one silver to be had. It was a very soft dark black soil almost like peat moss. I was digging modern clad at 6-7” deep. All I could come up with was the older coins were a lot deeper?
Two of the spots I was told they had been detected for years. 😭
One of the farmhouses turned up the stuff you see posted here including:
-Horse related items including a first for me, an odd horseshoe.
- Pocket watch
-A large brass “T” item. Possibly an electrical part from a tractor?
-A brass buckle. Any ideas what it would be from. Human? Horse? Age?
-A 1974 Hotwheels tank
-Toy top
-A couple of large round tags (?)
-An of all things a sea shell.
-A round tapered what’s-it piece with holes in it. Any ideas?
Nothing too exciting. Just happy to be back home in NC. 👍
Thanks for looking,
MM
