Re: Illinois finds? Let's hear about some of the better ones

My last good find was finding a 'Good Luck' bronze token.....1 1/2" dia. It's a common token. The obverse shows a genie with a turban looking into a crystal ball with a swastika imprinted on the crystal ball. Beneath this, "Good Luck will accompany the bearer."
The reverse at the bottom shows 'The All Seeing Eye' (an eye) with rays fanning to the rim. Between the rays are little images....L to R = Swastika, A heart, 4 leaf clover, elephant, horseshoe, a small animal (?), and a wishbone. I found this token and a few Merc dimes at a torn down house about 3 yrs ago when I was visiting a daughter in Plainfield.

I was born, raised, and got married in Chicago, moved to a suburb, and then finally escaped to Minnesota where I have lived lo these many decades. Been detecting for 18 yrs and make trips to Plainfield 2 times a yr.....AND detect. A few yrs ago, I attended a hunt at a Cook Co forest preserve - an old Boy Scout camp (near O'Hare airport) put on by 'Bomber'....from Rockford I think. A GREAT time was had by all.

I would like to detect the house where I grew up....built in 1928 (we moved in some yrs later), and with 8 of our family living there, there has to be some silver there. My brother still lives there. More later.
