returned to the tobacco field today and found a little. The indian head cent is an 1887, the backside of the flat button says LONDON, and the 36 cal. musket ball still has the sprue on it.

Any idea why the patina is kind of striped? Was it in enclosed in something that has since rotted away?

Might check that spot real careful again, maybe there was more of the tribe in the same area.
