took a few minutes to recover these-----:laughing9:
IMG_8357.JPG

now the 3 ringers seem to have an associated date---- a 50/70 casing "R W 3 89"--- only my 2ND 50/70 recovery in 5+ years. this is a Springfield Winchester with date of March 1889.

FMERG stood by with idle hands as I scored this horsie rosette, lead alloy & gold leaf, 1 11/16", at 20 grams.

neigh----- that's all I got---- no stinkin' coins----

BUT---6 holes to recover this copper "whatzit" next to an old growth tree amid the widow makers---- no eye deer:laughing7: ---- ???:dontknow::tongue3:

Congrats, Real interesting finds!

Are you in moose country? 50/70 would be about right for that. Copper shards of bullet jacket?

each piece is about 2 X 1 1/2",,,, more like a porridge bowl for a wood nymphet :laughing9:

Congrats on the awesome finds! Not sure what it may have been but the fact that the Copper pieces appear to have been cut, the cup...bowl...utensil or serving piece appears that it may have been cut for re-purposing one of the cut pieces.
