If you could live anywhere in the US to look for treasure, where would you live?

wherever forest fenn buried his treasure

North Easter Virginia

I'm partial to Arizona myself, but all 50 states have plenty of treasure stories.

Back to my hometown.... Plymouth MA
And I would beat all of you senseless with my multiple rolls of tree coins.

Probably Virginia, though anywhere settled in the 1600's would be great! The only time I hunted on 1600's land I found a pocket spill of 1600's hammered coppers, so I assume that all 1600's sites are probably like that :laughing7:.

I grew up near you in Taunton. Not sure if I'd want to move back after 40 years, but I'd hunt with you in MA.

MD is pretty good but I think my ultimate would be VA from Fredericksburg to Richmond.

The reality is that we would not move away from our grandchildren.

well the upper north east for really old stuff and ca,nev , az for better weather, more time to detect,if i could i would take my motorhome and just go.
good luck brad

Florida's Gulf Coast, the water was clear, calm, and warm on a normal day.

New England of course, but i would not move back at this time.

:)... no treasure left here mate.

Except for those buried under the hotel and condo parking lots and building.

And they hate when you dig in their lobby's.

:P

Hmmmm..... Maybe that explains why I found less than 50 cents in clad when I was in the water there - just South of Tampa. Met up with GIB there. Also met up with Pat Cats in Lauderdale - murky dark water. I got maybe about 75 cents there.....

yeah... pretty darn pounded here.... has been for years...

Best you will find is a recent drop for the most part on a calm day... NOW... after a storm... that can be a new story.

Deep...

Been many a moon since days like these.

These days I am just happy if I find enough change to cover the parking charge... if any. heh
