I believe you may be right. I was thinking of that because of finding in farm field and no other ornimental iron.

Not rock guard off sickle mower. I've changed my share of them. Can see the resemblance to ornimintal iron fence top but not in the farm field where we found c-ball fragments, bullets & such. Thks for ya'lls imput! Dn

If the shank is square I'll amend myself, I believe it's a curtain rod ornament. I have some around here somewhere. I have a matching pair that mounts one to each side of the window and they swing in and out to open and close the curtains. The tips look just like that, are cast iron and gilted some kid could have had it on an arrow and shot it into the field
