No, they aren't pins. Garren correctly IDd them as the fuses for a grenade, most likely practice grenades. They're spent, so there is no danger in them.

Sorry for doing this two times.It will not let me Edit.The pin fits in the small hole.What you have is the fuse block on top of the grenade...Osage

This site gives me fits too. Half the time I cannot edit either.
