If the oceans hold the majority of lost coins and relics, how about the lakes.

Think about it the oceans are going to hold lost items in some instances forever, meaning only a few people have the ability to go deep with expensive equipment. My point is how about the lakes or rivers that once were bigger or deeper the average person has a better chance when they dry up or go shallow for a period of time. Florida laws pertaining to water or property rights obtaining permits, let me ask this what is the procedures for such, a lot of money or influence, must share in the finds after all some of those ships where just 100 yards or less from shore correct. Do they have signs posted if not they should, private beaches do, nobody can own the ocean or portions, educate us on the subject.
