I have had two battery chargers going all day long doing electrolysis since the 2nd week in May. Cleaning up all of the iron that I had found in the winter. Thanks to Michigan Badger for explaining electrolysis more then a year ago. I used to hoard all of my finds and spend a lonnnggg weekend sandblasting all of my iron at my brother-in-laws. It is a lot more relaxing to do work on electrolysis in the evening after a hard days work in the hot sun during the summer.
The first photo showes a typical grab hook that loggers would drive into the end of a log and would be dragged by an oxen or a horse.
The second photo shows what the lumbermen would make-do with what they had on hand to replace the broken grabhook. In this case it was a railroad spike.
