Please please please please please!!! TRY TO HELP GAIN PERMISSION TO DO THE LAKE AND SURROUNDING PROPERTY ITS A PRIVATE COMMUNITY AND MEMBERS ONLY CAN HAVE ACCESS. I offered them 1000$ for 1 week access and I was denied. I know I’m asking the wrong people I need to get in good or have someone with better charisma than me to smooth the leadership of this community over. I guarantee anyone that you will find so much jewelry and silver coins your head will spin! Please if someone has any pull or can help let me know I will pay someone to get me in there!

I'm not sure what you are looking to gain access to, as the individual properties are privately owned. If you're looking to do them, maybe just door-knock if it's not gated.
If you looking for access to the lake, consider renting a cottage or even checking Airbnb for a couple of nights rental. Renting may give you full access to the beach and the lake. As long as the homeowners assoc. rules don't prohibit metal detecting. You can ask before you rent. Would cost you less than $1,000.

It is beyond my comprehension why anyone would pay to metal detect. If someone told me I had to pay to detect or they gave me permission to detect with the premise they could cherry pick my finds I’d tell them to go pound sand. Just me I guess.

So if you felt confident you could find say $1 to 5k in jewelry on a 1 week permission, you wouldn't pay someone $100? I guess you have a lot better spots than I do. *Not here to debate how you arrived at this level of confidence. Obviously it would take a special set of circumstances to be CONFIDENT you can make more than the cost of admission.

Well I’m not in it to lose money...so I guess you need to assume that I 99% confident that I will easily ROI

No doubt in my mind if I put in at least 4-6 hrs a day for 7 days I will clear 1000$

I found a $325 (scrap price) vintage 14kt gold necklace in a dredge pile I was there maybe 1-1.5hrs

And i really didn’t even need the detector to find that it was half hanging out the mud pile. I just wasn’t looking at the moment and once I heard it I was like dang that could of tripped me

So even having found that in the course of 2 days I still would be ahead

DD, your first post says 1000$, now that is a lot more than the $100 you're now talking. I am among those that think you gotta be nuts to offer big money or any money to hunt. There is a guy who advertises in my local craigslist that he'll pay $50 for permission to hunt pre 1900 houses. I thought about getting him over here to my place which is 1870s, taking his $50 and letting him hunt away on a property I have hunted for years with many different machines. You say you KNOW you will get 1-5 grand in jewelry out of there. How do you know somebody didn't hunt there last year, ten, twenty, thirty, even forty years ago? Metal detectors are everywhere and have been around for a long time. Could well be that whoever told you no detects there themselves or protects the place for others who do.

I’m not here to argue, I have done my research and I am highly confident in my prediction. I don’t care if someone says the place has been gangbanged by a team of 40 ctx3030’s...85% of the idiots think they are swinging a sickle and miss 99% of the ground. I don’t listen to people that say it’s hammered. Just like my neighbor said this field is toasted...so far i nabbed 14kt ring/silver half/silver merc/silver stander/ton of wheats/and a ton of rusty nails!! Lol so say what you like, the offer is up for anyone with a “top secret clearance” into the tight nit group of ownership members. $1000.00 paid in full/cash for 7 24hr days of metal detecting freedom from harassment. And I’ll bet you 100$ I’ll unearth something bad ass at your place too

I’ll bet you my AT Pro

I have met or witnessed not one that is as persistent and patient and as thorough as me. I’m not bragging I’ve just not observed it yet

I’m relentless

I meant 1000 the entire time if I said 100 it was my bad. I mean 10 100’s

How can one person give you access to all?
Im curious how the homeowners association is preventing you from knocking on doors to get permission?

It has to be voted on I think. I think I’m better off just befriending a state trooper and telling the only lady that bothers me to go ahead and call I’ll even dial the number

Call the state police

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Or I’ll get on the township board of directors and call my own shots

It’s absolutely harmless what I’m asking to do. How they know I’m not looking for a lost ring from a grandparent

I’m not gonna harm any salamander or kick up too much naturally flowing sediments for the hard core tree hugging weirdo

Better yet... before he gets there go plant 1000 pull tabs and washers, and sit back with a beverage of choice.

No I would not pay a penny to detect no matter the return . Because besides a host of reasons; you hand somebody money to detect you best have a prepared ,signed legal document stating all the particulars and if you find items of value and the landowner finds out you may still be challenged. Not worth it in my opinion.

GOOD LUCK!! Talk is cheap.

Give me permission to hunt your property and I’ll be more than thrilled to use the 100$ towards the 1000$ lake hunt
