I was starting to think maybe my idx pro wasnt such a good machine to go with. You know how hard it is when your starting out and your not sure where the fine line between machine error and human error is. Thoughts of " is this thing on?" and " is everything one inch deeper than my MD will see?".

Actually i have found alot of clad. Tons of relics. Not much worth noting though.

What i was NOT noticing was that i was learning how to use this machine. Every screw cap and beer tab was honing my skills, every god forsaken piece of crust that i dug endlessly for in 90 degree humidity was testing my resolve. I found out the mosquito's werent drawing blood they were cheering ME ON MAN.....ok...hmmm..sorry.

Then today....thinking i was getting yet another pull tab... i manage to dig this........isnt she beautifull

The Idx pro won't let you down. Learn it and you can outdo more expensive models. I have pulled out 3 silver coins, 2 v nickels, and 4 pieces of jewelry over the last year with mine. Keep diggin'

That's what we mean when we say the pull tabs and most gold rings read near the same. Some hunters say they will only dig certain VDI numbers. They end up missing some good stuff that might be possitioned in the ground funny and that changes the numbers.

Nice Ring. More will follow when you go where people played.

Thanks for everyones replies.

Without a doubt in my mind, if i hadnt found this site i would be ringless. I have learned so much from this site.

Thanks everyone!

Now, the problem becomes hanging on to the ring.....

I seem to lose all jewelry to my wife! :)

Beautiful ring, kinda reminds me of that Spanish ring (very expensive) one I seen on another forum. Be careful about getting it appraised, there are a lot of dealers out there that will try to take you. I am looking forward to findng something nice one day.

VERY COOL!

Gorgeous ring!!! Keep swingin' that IDX Pro!

A little secret... the small increase in depth that you get going from a lower priced detector to a very expensive detector sometimes isn't worth the large price difference. Ask Battlecat about how well he does with his $99 RS detector... he found as much change as we did with our expensive units the other day. As long as you can find a quarter at a good solid 6" you have the capability to uncover some really good finds.

My White's Eagle II SL is sold, just waiting for the check from the guy, and already I regret parting with it :-\ But next year maybe if I have some cash I could always buy a Prizm IV or an IDX pro... ;D
